SGS Bulgaria Lab is Accredited Under All Indexes in Regulation 2 of Ministry of Agriculture
SGS Bulgaria laboratory is a private independent laboratory founded in 1995. It has been accredited as per EN ISO/IEC 17025 and has been appointed by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency for official control of milk quality. Laboratory portfolio covers the vast majority of analyses concerning quality and safety of food as per EU regulations.
In 2006 at SGS Lab has been established farmer’s milk analysis Sector for testing different kinds for milk as cow, sheep, goat, and buffalo milk. SGS Milk Laboratory has been accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food as an independent laboratory for raw milk analysis and its final results are used from the milk producers to receive European subsidies. Laboratory has Bactoscan Foss Tecator for express milk analyses and uses also other arbitration methods for fat, protein, density, pH, etc.
In the occasion to the entry into force of Regulation 2/23.02.2017 for specific requirements for raw milk production, collection, transportation and adaptation, for milk products and their official control, SGS Lab has been accredited to make analysis according to all required indexes in compliance with the Regulation.
SGS Bulgaria has its own refrigerated transport for collecting milk samples. Time for transportation of samples by post or by courier could lead to unfit condition of milk samples. SGS expert team guarantees that the procedures for collecting milk sample are strictly observed so the producer receives the required independent indexes assessment in order to meet the product market requirements.
