New EU Labeling Rules- Ample Information on Choosing and Buying Food
On June 26th-27th SGS Bulgaria and its CTS members took part in the “New EU Labeling Rules- Ample Information on Choosing and Buying Food” seminar organized by the local Food Industry Cooperation.
The seminar was targeted at the producers of bread and baked goods, as well as at chocolate and ice-cream manufacturers.
Members of the BFSA*, the University of Food Technologies and various companies delivered presentations on food labeling and the challenges of the EU legislation (Regulation № 1169/2011). They also dedicated time to answering numerous questions.
Pavlina Yordanova, a food expert at the CTS division of SGS Bulgaria, gave a lecture entitled “Knowing your product’s ingredients guarantees your reputation”.
All participants in this seminar were given ample information on the different services which SGS Bulgaria provides in the sphere of:
label verification and validation, in accordance with the current Bulgarian legislation,
results overview and conclusions about the food item’s suitability.
